The Cedar Rapids Police Department is taking applications
now thru Friday, February 10, 2012. Applications can be downloaded by visiting the Cedar Rapids
Police website at http://www.cedar-rapids.org/police.
Those interested in applying who do not have access to a computer/printer can
either stop in at the police department, or if you live over 50 miles away,
call 319-286-5440 and an application can be mailed. Applications can be
downloaded from our website and printed at your computer. Once completed, the
application will need to be notarized and mailed or brought in with the proper
documents.
The hiring process is an intense process, with the end
result being that only the best are selected. The following is the 2012
Recruiting Schedule for CRPD applicants:

Orientation Meeting, CRPD Briefing Room
February 18, 2012, 6:30 PM -- Optional

March 3, 2012 -- Written
Test
March 4, 2012 -- Physical
Agility Test
March 5 – 7, 2012 -- Polygraph
Screenings
March 22 – April 20, 2012 -- Polygraphs
You
will be notified of further test dates after April 20, 2012

Week Academy Begins
Starting salary is $47, 368 a year, with many benefits. The
application and ALL documents must be received by the Cedar Rapids Police
Department no later than 8:00 AM, Friday, February 10, 2012. NO
exceptions will be made.
