Greetings NOBLE members, this year at the 34th Annual Training Conference, NOBLE will be participating in a community service project for the Baltimore community. Ten members will represent NOBLE by volunteering at the hot meal program of Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. Check out: http://www.catholiccharities-md.org/news/stories/our-daily-bread-to.html
Our Daily Bread is Maryland's hot meal program, serving more than a quarter million meals to those less fortunate from the Baltimore City area. Nutritious lunches are served every day of the year and breakfast to seniors and individuals with disabilities are served each week day.
This is one of several ways that NOBLE will give back and pay forward to the residents of Baltimore while visiting their city. Let us all be reminded just how fortunate we are and how pleased God is when he observes service from those who give with a cheerful heart. Service to the community is a ministry.
NOBLE members will meet at the lobby of the Hilton Baltimore at 8:30am to be transported on Sunday July 11, 2010 for a 9:00am mandatory orientation before the volunteering begins. Volunteers will remain on site until 1:00pm. Dress attire will be a NOBLE polo shirt or t-shirt along with a hat or hair net, pants or shorts (to the knee) and a closed rubber sole shoe (i.e. tennis shoe) for comfort and safety.
Interested members of NOBLE please email your name, chapter and contact number to Co-Chair Jill Smallwood-Rustin, if you wish to be a volunteer. Send your contact information to: amr@noblenatl.org
President Ernest Green and the Executive Board thank the volunteers and transportation providers in advance for making this one of many positive initiatives "from the heart of NOBLE".
