On January 19, 2009 members of the Southern California Chapter of NOBLE attended the 1st Annual LAPD Martin Luther King Day Breakfast as an inaugural sponsor. Chapter President Janet Williams, Vice President Michael Nunez, Sergeant-At Arms Stan Henderson, Recording Secretary Stephanie Vallejo, LASD Chief Willie Miller and USC Chief Carey Drayton were in attendance.
Chapter members had the opportunity to meet and network with hundreds of other specially invited guests from throughout the region who gathered to celebrate the life, legacy and vision of this civil rights giant who authored a bold new treatise for change so that all people - regardless of color, creed or stations in life, would have a chance to live more abundantly.
