It is a new day that will require new
decisions as we are presented with new
opportunities. To all of the NOBLE members,
I would like to express how thankful I am to
serve as your National Chaplain at this time.
It is truly a humbling experience and I look
forward to working closely with President
Green, the administrative staff, as well as
all of the NOBLE members as we strive to
maintain the strong and respected character
of this organization.
As your National Chaplain, and a spokesperson
on behalf of all of the chapter Chaplains, we
would like to share with you that we are
aware of the challenges you face on a daily
basis, whether it is local, county, state or
federal, and we are here to serve and
encourage. It does not go unnoticed that law
enforcement officials are faced with having
to make split-second decisions which at times
can cause a tremendous amount of anxiety,
frustration, stress, and sometimes even
criticism; because you are doing your job.
The NOBLE Chaplains want to remind you that
you do not have to walk this road alone. We
are here to become your journey partners
during such challenging times, to provide
spiritual guidance, a shoulder to lean on,
and individual and family counseling
services, when needed. Remember, NOBLE is
not one member, but many. And as we work
together, let's stand together, so that it is
not easy to pull us apart. The wise man
Solomon states, "An enemy might defeat one
person, but two people together can defend
themselves; a rope that is woven of three
strings is hard to break" - Eccl. 4:12
(NCV). We are those three strings.
NOBLE members, each day will bring its own
experiences, but fret not, for you are built
for the road ahead. The next time you hear
an automobile sales commercial, listen to
their memorable cliché at the end that makes
their car unique. Let me share a few:
Chrysler: Inspiration Comes Standard!
Cadillac: Breakthrough!
Lexus: The Passion Pursuit of
Perfection!
BMW: The Ultimate Driving Machine!
Hummer: Like Nothing Else!
Ford: Built For The Road Ahead!
Ford's cliché is the one that fascinates me:
Built For The Road Ahead!
That is a mighty strong claim, but what Ford
is saying is that they have designed an
automobile that can handle the road (any
road) out there. Whatever the circumstances
may be, whatever situations are present,
whatever conditions are formed, Ford claims
they have built a car that can handle it, as
a result of their aerodynamic configuration
and materials used on the inside.
As you prepare for your day, remember that
because of the aerodynamic configuration and
material (your character) that makes you who
you are, as I stated earlier, “…each day will
bring its own experiences, but fret not, for
you are built for the road ahead.” May God
continue to bless you all.
